New high-entropy metallic glasses were produced by adding B and Si to the Fe25Co25Cr25Ni25 high entropy alloy. Extremely hard materials obtained inducing structural relaxation nanocrystallization in original amorphous metals. In this work we study effects of composition annealing treatments on structure mechanical properties. The changes during heating determined situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction behavior was studied nanoindentation. properties as-quenched tuned through treatments, obtaining amorphous/nanocrystalline composites appropriate for highly demanding, wear resistance applications. relative amount is shown determine main nanocrystalline phase, FCC or BCC, which has a key influence

Mechanical Properties of Bulk Metallic Glasses and composites

We have studied the mechanical properties of monolithic bulk metallic glasses and composite in the La based alloys. La86-yAl14(Cu, Ni)y (y=24 to 32) alloy systems was used to cast the in-situ structure and subsequently tested under compression. We found that the ductility of the monolithic is actually poorer than that of the fully crystalline composite.
